Hello dear readers, and welcome back to another profile feature on one of our awesome teammates. Today you’ll get to meet our sweet (and rather sassy) Sara, she’s our Sales Manager and Master Party Thrower.

She’s lived all over the U.S. and is such a light to our office. We think you’ll love getting to know her as much as we enjoy getting to work with her! So read on to get to know this fun-loving gal, you won’t regret it.

Sara & “Master Party Thrower”

Sales Manager – Under direction of Global Sales, I mine for new airline partners and help keep current partners engaged.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Washington D.C., and “grew up” in New York, but I’ve been in Texas since my first year of high school (don’t ask when that was). I still have a lot of the New York moxie in me, but have assimilated well to the laid back Texas way of doing things.

If you could trade lives with someone, who would it be and why?

Tina Fey. My dream job is being an SNL writer. Sorry that that’s not a super inspired answer, but I just love to laugh.

Is there something you’ve always wanted to do, but have never had the chance to?

Sure, even though I’m from New York I never got the chance to go to the Radio City Music Hall to watch a filming of SNL. To this day I would gladly brave the cold to stand in line for a Christmas episode.

What is your go-to traveling hack or tip?

I can’t share the details, but I know of an actual hack that allows you to get free wifi on most flights that have the option available.

Tell us three things about yourself & make one a lie.

I’ve dyed my hair over 10 different colors, my Grandmother babysat Ricky Martin, I am the oldest of 2 sisters.

What is the last TV show you watched, song you listened to, or book you read?

The last thing I read was an excerpt from the book “The Ask,” the last song that was playing as I parked this morning was “We Can Be Heroes” by David Bowie, and as for a TV show I can’t stop bingeing AMC’s “The Preacher“… my new guilty pleasure.

What’s the best trip you’ve ever been on?

Definitely my study abroad stay in Rome, it was an experience of a lifetime! I rode on the back of Vespas, ate prosciutto every day, and started every Saturday morning with a bus ride to anywhere and everywhere.

What’s your favorite kind of vacation?

Beach vacations are the BEST, hands down! They are frill-free, and require no makeup, or extreme meal planning (I can find a beach house there or bring one with me). They also offer the best people watching, and are age-agnostic (the kids have just as much fun as the adults!).

What’s your “travel style?”

When I travel for work I like to pull it together, AKA: hair, makeup, and a stylish carry-on. If I am traveling with friends and family it’s all about convenience. Good luck getting me out of drawstring pants and flip flops at that point.

You’re given an unlimited budget and unlimited time, where do you travel?

I’d go back to Rome so that this time I could take my family and share my favorite place with the people I love. As far as what I’d do there, I’d take my daughter to eat a sandwich next to Caesar’s tomb. It’s what I did while I was there and I’d love to re-live it with her.

What’s your most bizarre talent?

I have been told by a lot of people that I have an overactive sense of smell, I suppose that is a good thing? Also, I have been known to make up languages.

Describe yourself in 3 words.

That’s tough… let’s go with resourceful, respectful, and resilient.

  ? ? ?

There you have it, folks! We hope you enjoyed getting to know our sassy Sara. See you next time for another profile feature and some more awesome travel tips and tricks. Until then, safe travels and keep your eyes on the skies!
